To Much Technology

Just thought I would share a cute video that I made at home the other day.  Do you agree that sometimes you just need a break from technology?  I know I do.  Technology can be a great thing, but it can also lead to lack of communication in the family.  So, why not just set an hour or so aside to disconnect for awhile.  You and your family will be happy that you did.   Does your family have a certain time each day, that you turn off all of your tech and social media?  Let me know in the comments below.

Peppermint Take A Whiff

Hi, everyone, I hope everyone is having a good week.  I have a question for you, do you know the power of peppermint oil?  A study finds that sniffing peppermint every 2 hours  can suppress hunger.   I'm definitely trying this.

A psychologist, Brian Raudenbush, a professor at Wheeling Jesuit University and West Virginia says it can make us not want to eat. The study showed that people who sniffed peppermint every 2 hours were not as hungry as non sniffers.

The people who inhaled the peppermint ate 2800 fewer calories in a week. A person could actually lose a pound a week by doing this.  How awesome is this?   In an earlier study, Raudenbush showed that athletes practice better if they sniff peppermint as well.

Peppermint, is also known to help with false hunger, which in return is emotional eating. So, take a whiff or a sniff.  Try it for a week and let me know if it works for you.

Create A Vision Board

I have always wanted to create a vision board, but I have never gotten around to it. A vision board is a poster board that you cover with inspirational pictures and words.

Vision boards help inspire you to work towards reaching your goals. To get the most benefit from your vision board, you should look at it daily.

Visualize yourself achieving the things on your board. The pictures and words on your board can be that little kick you need to get and keep you motivated.

What do you think? I think its a great idea!  To create a vision board, you will need scissors, tape or glue, poster board, markers,  and magazines or photos from the internet to print out.
I am curious to know if you have created or used a vision board?  Please let me know in the comments below.  Have a great week and get creating.
